Works on Paper

a premier exhibition in London

5-9 February 2014
Science Museum, London

The Old School Press is one of a handful of presses exhibiting at Works on Paper this coming February. The bulk of exhibitors are galleries selling watercolours, drawings, photographs, and prints. We shall of course be offering our books for sale, in particular The Colours of Rome, Stockholm Reflections, Palladio's Homes, and tokonoma.

You can find full details of the fair at www.worksonpaperfair.com. Normal admission at the door is £30 for the preview and £15 for the other days, but we can offer free admission with our compliments. We can send you an e-ticket for free entry that you can show at the door on your phone or tablet or print out for presentation - just let us know here. Alternatively, if you would prefer a paper ticket please let us know here, with your postal address, and we'll be happy to send you one. Both types of ticket are valid for any of the days including the preview and they admit two people.

a follow-up to

The History of Oxford University Press

OUP's own four-volume history - the first three volumes now published

published by Oxford University Press, 2013

I contributed to volume I of this new and comprehensive history of OUP. I've also contributed an item to OUP's blog site.

The History does not come cheap at £100 a volume but members of the Printing Historical Society get a 20% discount. There's an even bigger saving for members on Michael Twyman's magnificent A History of Chromolithography. Two strong motivations for joining the Printing Historical Society!

We wish you good fortune in 2014
